Marco Belinelli Begins Preseason as Hornets' Starting Shooting Guard

According to the New Orleans Times-Picayune, Hornets coach Monty Williams plans to start Marco Belinelli in their preseason opener.

The Breakdown
Belinelli has impressed the Hornets' coaching staff and he has a serious shot of being the starter when the season opens. Still, those in standard leagues shouldn't rush to grab him. Marcus Thornton is still in the mix and New Orleans could end up with Trevor Ariza at shooting guard if they decide to go with Peja Stojakovic at small forward. Even if Belinelli does end up the starter, he's unlikely to play more than 20 minutes a night. If you're in a deeper league, Belinelli is a good speculative pick up at this point.
