Rubio agreed to the deal just before the league's deadline to sign a rookie scale contract.

The Breakdown
Keeper leagues will want to consider pulling Rubio from the free agent pool depending on how many players you're allowed to keep. It's anyone's guess whether he can be an impact player in the NBA next season, but he's certainly worth a flyer. It's not often you get to pick up a quality rookie via free agency.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7718625850745415068.post-88380993246046294802011-05-17T20:30:00.000-07:002011-05-24T07:11:13.022-07:00Few Impact Players Expected From Weak 2011 Draft Class
While the Cavaliers celebrate winning the 2011 NBA Draft Lottery tonight, fantasy basketball fans see little to get excited about in this year's draft class. This group is considered the weakest since the 2000 draft which featured Kenyon Martin and Michael Redd.

What does this mean for fantasy owners? You won't want to overreach for any rookies this year! Without a surefire superstar in this draft, most of a player's fantasy potential will be determined by which uniform he ends up in. In standard leagues, only a handful of rookies may even be worth a draft pick. We'll be targeting players who land with the Cavaliers, Raptors, Wizards, and Bobcats since they're more likely to find themselves playing meaningful minutes from the get-go. Those teams are young and have holes at a number of positions. On the other hand, a talented player will land with the Utah Jazz at the third pick but could be buried on the bench because the team has talent at every position. With the talent level dropping significantly after Duke point guard Kyrie Irving, whoever Utah picks may not be worth a look in standard fantasy drafts.

We'll be keeping an eye on the Draft Combine laster this month and we'll release our list of the top 5 impact rookies following the draft in June.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7718625850745415068.post-67108474334804176372011-05-10T22:14:00.000-07:002011-05-10T22:15:06.634-07:00Jeff Teague Displaying Ability, Potential in 2nd Round Series Against Bulls

With Kirk Hinrich out with a hamstring injury, Atlanta Hawks point guard Jeff Teague has been forced into the starting line up in the team's second round series against the Chicago Bulls. Teague is playing heavy minutes in the biggest games of his career while facing off against league MVP Derrick Rose. Although he struggled to play consistently during the regular season, Teague has been unfazed and he's playing some of the best basketball we've seen out of the Wake Forest product. Through five games, the second year guard is averaging 17 points, 4.4 assists, 3 rebounds, and 1.2 steals with a 55.7% FG% and a 84.2% FT%.

The Breakdown
Where was this Jeff Teague during the regular season? Teague is making a strong case for a selection in the later rounds of fantasy drafts next season as a sleeper pick. He'll have to battle Hinrich for minutes and Teague will also need to improve his work ethic, the one thing that has been holding him back in his young career. Still, he's showcasing what he can do when given ample playing time. Teague is a player that should be on your fantasy radar when training camp opens up for the 2011-12 season.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7718625850745415068.post-30476691024985323302011-04-17T11:51:00.000-07:002011-04-17T11:51:56.347-07:00Kevin Durant Finishes Season Atop Player Ratings

Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant easily finished the 2010-11 season as the top fantasy player in our player ratings. Durant averaged 27.7 points, 1.9 three-pointers, 6.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.1 steals, 1 block, 46.2% FG%, and 88% FT%. Durant had a tremendous season and was by far fantasy's most valuable player. He'll be the consensus number one player entering the 2011-12 season.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7718625850745415068.post-16197190202090067322011-04-08T07:54:00.000-07:002011-04-08T07:55:30.227-07:00Keeper Leagues: Don't Forget to Stash Ricky Rubio

With the 2010-11 season coming to a close, it's time to starting thinking about next season for those in keeper leagues. One player you'll want to grab in free agency is Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio.

Although it's no guarantee he plays in the NBA next season, he's no longer under contract to FC Barcelona which would allow him to sign with Minnesota. Since he's available in the free agent pool of most fantasy leagues, savvy team managers would be wise to keep him stashed on the bench and use him as a keeper or trade bait if he does indeed make his way to the NBA.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7718625850745415068.post-86445270139724003112011-04-08T07:44:00.000-07:002011-04-08T07:44:49.861-07:00Deron Williams to Undergo Wrist Surgery

New Jersey Nets All-Star point guard Deron Williams' season will officially end Friday as he's set to undergo surgery to repair the right wrist that has given him problems late in the season.

The Breakdown
Anyone still holding out hope that he'd play in the last few games should go ahead and drop him. Only fantasy owners in keeper leagues should keep him on the roster. This isn't a major surgery as their just going to remove bone fragments and scar tissue, so Williams should be 100% heading into next season.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7718625850745415068.post-64334448894789206512011-03-31T07:45:00.000-07:002011-03-31T07:45:52.790-07:00Deron Williams Back on the Court

Although New Jersey Nets point guard Deron Williams was expected to be shut down due to a wrist injury, he was back on the court Wednesday night. He played 37 minutes and flirted with a triple-double. Deron tallied 22 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists.

The Breakdown
We're surprised that Williams has returned because doctor's had told him to rest his injured wrist for at least a month. Since Williams was dropped in a few leagues, we recommend scooping him up if he's a free agent. Just be aware that he could still be shut down at any time. You'll have to keep an eye on him on a game-by-game basis.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7718625850745415068.post-85506497379521223362011-03-31T07:37:00.000-07:002011-03-31T07:37:25.242-07:00Jordan Crawford Erupts for Career-High 39 Points

Washington Wizards rookie guard Jordan Crawford has been one of the biggest surprises as the season draws to a close. Crawford has scored in double figures in 12 straight games, capped off by a career-high 39 points against the Heat.

The Breakdown
Crawford is on a tear and he figures to log heavy minutes for the rest of the year. Not only is he scoring, but he's also contributing three-pointers, assists, and steals. He's a must own in all formats. Fantasy teams looking for a player to push them over the top in their pursuit of a championship should not hesitate to pick him up.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7718625850745415068.post-13989627931665509422011-03-30T07:39:00.000-07:002011-03-30T07:39:03.558-07:00Most Dropped: March 30

These are the five most dropped players over the last week. Stats listed below are from the last 7 days.

David West (29 points, 1 steal, 1 block): It's no surprise West is being dropped since he'll be out of action for the next six months. Only team managers in keeper leagues should bother having him on the roster.

Tyler Hansbrough (13.3 points, 6.3 rebounds): Psycho-T has cooled off of late, but he continues to start. His production may be sporadic, but he's still doing just enough to be worth consideration in standard leagues. Those in need of help in points and rebounds should pick him up.

Andrei Kirilenko (3 points, 1 three-pointer, 2 steals): With AK-47 dealing with a knee issue, he's worth dropping in most leagues. There's no timetable for his return, so he could end up missing the rest of the season if the knee doesn't heal quickly. If there's a decent option in your free agent pool, we suggest you replace Kirilenko.

C.J. Miles (13.8 points, 1.3 three-pointers): We're a bit surprised fantasy owners are dropping Miles who's playing solid. He's scoring and hitting three-pointers while contributing a few rebounds, assists, and steals. C.J. is in the top 100 of our player ratings and should be added in all formats since he'll be playing heavy minutes while Kirilenko is out.

Toney Douglas (13.5 points, 2.3 three-pointers, 4.3 rebounds): Like Miles, Douglas has been dropped in many leagues though his production has been in line with what he's done all season. He can be inconsistent, but he's certainly worth a roster spot in standard formats as he's playing nearly 30 minutes a game. Teams in need of points and three-pointers should give Toney strong consideration.

Stats listed below are from the last 7 days.

Carlos Delfino (20.3 points, 4 three-pointers, 2 steals, 55% FG%, 83.3% FT%): Delfino is one of the hottest players in the NBA right now. He's playing very heavy minutes, including a 43-minute night in Milwaukee's last game. Delfino should be owned in all formats.

Anthony Randolph (19.3 points, 10 rebounds, 56.1% FG%, 80% FT%): Randolph has had a couple of big games since replacing the injured Kevin Love in the starting line up. Randolph is a versatile big man who can help fantasy squads in nearly every category. He appears to be a strong play in all formats for as long as Love is out of the line up.

Jordan Crawford (16.8 points, 1.5 three-pointers, 4.5 rebounds, 6.3 assists, 1.8 steals): With all of the injuries in Washington, Crawford has emerged as a valuable fantasy player. Crawford is starting, playing nearly 40 minutes a night, and contributing in a number of categories. Since the Wizards are clearly out of the playoff hunt, Crawford should continue logging major minutes as the team evaluates its young talent.

Nicolas Batum (16.3 points, 2 three-pointers, 5.3 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 block, 50% FG%, 90% FT%): Like Delfino, Batum has been hot of late. He's doing it all and Portland's shift to a smaller line up has improved Batum's game. Nicolas should be universally owned, so make sure to pick him up if he's a free agent in your league.

Tyreke Evans (8 points, 4.5 assists, 1 steals, 87.5% FT%): Evans recently returned to action and he's trying to find his legs. We expect him to return to form within the next few games and he can be a valuable fantasy addition as the season winds down. Evans was playing very well before he went down with a foot injury. If he can get back to that level soon, he'll give fantasy squads a major boost in every category besides blocks. At his best, Evans is a top 20 fantasy stud so pick him up if he's on the waiver wire.

Stats listed below are from the last 15 days.

Carlos Delfino (15.5 points, 3.1 three-pointers, 4.1 rebounds, 2.1 steals, 50.6% FG%): Delfino had a great three-game stretch this past week where he averaged 28.7 points. In addition to his scoring ability, Carlos can contribute three-pointers, rebounds, and steals. Delfino is starting and playing heavy minutes, making him someone who should be on all fantasy rosters down the stretch.

Jodie Meeks (14.6 points, 3.3 three-pointers, 1.3 steals, 51.9% FG%, 91.7% FT%): Meeks' hot shooting has continued for another week as he keeps draining the long ball. Teams in need of a boost in scoring, three-pointers, and steals should give Meeks a strong look. Meeks is playing over 35 minutes a night as Evan Turner has become a non-factor in Philadelphia's rotation.

Nicolas Batum (15.1 points, 1.8 three-pointers, 4.9 rebounds, 1.3 steals, 88.2% FT%): Batum has really stepped up his game of late, scoring in double figures in five straight outings, including a double-double. If Batum is in your free agent pool, he makes for a strong pick up as he's one of the few players out there that can help in every single category.

Lou Williams (17.4 points, 1.8 three-pointers, 1 steals, 82.5% FT%): Over the last couple of weeks, Williams is back to doing what he does best: scoring in bunches. Williams is more of a deep league play, though, because he averages only averages just under 25 minutes a contest and he's one of the streakiest players in the NBA. Still, teams in standard formats who need a big time scorer should take a chance on Lou while he's hot.

Tony Allen (11.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.6 steals, 49.2% FG%, 84.2% FT%): Allen has really started to get comfortable in his starting role and his play has shown it. Allen can give fantasy squads a boost in every category besides three-pointers. He's logging big minutes and his role is secure since Rudy Gay won't be returning this season. Team managers should strongly consider adding Tony for the last few weeks of the season.

Evans came off the bench to play 17 minutes, finishing with 6 points and 8 assists.

The Breakdown
Evans has been dropped in many leagues, but he could become a valuable asset once he's healthy and getting his regular dose of minutes. We recommend picking him up if he's in your free agent pool as he can contribute regularly in nearly every category.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7718625850745415068.post-13913221877550068422011-03-25T18:57:00.000-07:002011-03-25T18:57:43.209-07:00David West Out Up to Six Months After ACL Tear

New Orleans Hornets power forward David West suffered a torn ACL in Thursday's game against the Utah Jazz. West will miss the rest of this season and may miss part of training camp for the 2011-12 season.

The Breakdown
The injury makes Carl Landry a must own in standard leagues. He'll give teams a boost in points and field goal percentage while chipping in a few rebounds. Those in deeper leagues may want to give Jason Smith a look.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7718625850745415068.post-48741725401611816552011-03-24T07:37:00.000-07:002011-03-24T07:37:07.677-07:00Rudy Gay Requires Shoulder Surgery, Officially Done for the Rest of the Season

Memphis Grizzlies small forward Rudy Gay, who's been out since the All-Star break, will require surgery on his separated shoulder. He'll require 4-6 months to recover, meaning he won't return until training camp for the 2011-12 season.

The Breakdown
Any fantasy owners holding out hope that Rudy would return this season should cut him loose. Only Gay owners in keeper leagues should hang onto him. If you have Tony Allen, Sam Young, or Shane Battier on your roster, you should feel safe employing them for the rest of the year.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7718625850745415068.post-52126261094006306892011-03-23T07:39:00.000-07:002011-03-23T07:39:47.615-07:00Most Dropped: March 23

These are the five most dropped players over the last week. Stats listed below are from the last 7 days.

Nick Young (Has not played due to injury): Young has been out about a week due to a knee injury, though he could return as early as tonight against the Clippers. Teams in need of another scorer and three-point shooter should consider Young, though you'll have to absorb a hit to your field goal percentage.

Andray Blatche (Has not played due to injury): Blatche is another in a long list of injured Wizards players. He's missed the last six games and it's unclear when he'll be back on the court. With no specific timetable for his return, he's not worth holding onto at this late point in the season. If there's a decent option available in your free agent pool, we'd suggest you go with him and send Blatche to the waiver wire.

Chase Budinger (9.3 points, 1 three-pointer, 100% FT%): Chase suffered a sprained ankle in Houston's last game, but it's not as severe as originally feared. Budinger could be back as early as this weekend and we think he's a great fantasy option for the last few weeks of the season. With Houston still in the playoff hunt, the Rockets have an incentive to get Chase on the court as much as possible. He's playing heavy minutes and contributing in nearly every category, so monitor his recovery and add him when he gets back on the court.

Randy Foye (12.3 points, 1.7 three-pointers, 53.8% FG%, 100% FT%): Many team managers have dropped Foye since Eric Gordon recently returned, but Foye is still playing about 30 minutes a night off the bench. Head coach Vinny Del Negro has noticed Foye's improved play while Gordon was out and continues to make him a big part of the rotation as they employ him in a small-ball line up. Foye continues to have some value in standard formats for as long as he logs big minutes.

Shawn Marion (13.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 66.7% FG%): Marion suffered a wrist injury over the weekend, but expects to be back on the court as early as this Thursday against the Timberwolves. He's a solid fantasy contributor when healthy, though his playing time may be effected by the recent return of Peja Stojakovic. We'd keep him on our radar and add him if he sees around 25-30 minutes a night upon his return.

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7718625850745415068.post-48423537705598560792011-03-21T21:06:00.000-07:002011-03-21T21:06:11.674-07:00Tim Duncan Sprains Ankle, Expected to Miss at Least Two Weeks

San Antonio Spurs big man Tim Duncan suffered an ankle sprain in tonight's game. The injury is expected to sideline him for at least two weeks, though there's a possibility Duncan misses the rest of the regular season.

The Breakdown
Duncan owners should look for a replacement as the Spurs won't be in a rush to bring him back. Some combination of Antonio McDyess, DeJuan Blair, and Tiago Splitter will take over Duncan's minutes. Blair looks like the most likely to see an increase in fantasy value, but team managers will have to keep an eye on the next few games to see how the playing time is divided.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7718625850745415068.post-901534207279294222011-03-21T05:19:00.000-07:002011-03-21T05:19:29.866-07:00Most Added: March 21

These are the five most added <a href="" id="AdBriteInlineAd_players" name="AdBriteInlineAd_players" style="background: url("http://files.adbrite.com/mb/images/green-double-underline-006600.gif") repeat-x scroll center bottom transparent; color: #006600; cursor: pointer; margin-bottom: -2px; padding-bottom: 2px; text-decoration: none;" target="_top">players over the last week. Stats listed below are from the last 7 days.

Tyler Hansbrough (20.8 points, 7.8 rebounds, 1.3 steals, 54% FG%): Psycho-T is the most added player in fantasy basketball for the second consecutive week as he continues putting up big numbers in points and rebounds. He has emerged as must own in all formats as he's taken his game to another level in recent weeks.

C.J. Miles (26 points, 3 three-pointers, 4.7 rebounds, 56.4% FG%): Miles has become a hot add since dropping a career-high 40 points this past week as well as moving into the starting line up. Like Hansbrough, Miles is looking like a strong player to add for the stretch run as he's playing heavy minutes and contributing across a few categories.

Toney Douglas (18.3 points, 4.5 three-pointers, 6.8 assists, 50% FG%, 100% FT%): Although Douglas is a reserve, he still manages to see nearly 30 minutes a game and he's another player that can contribute in almost every category. Douglas is very streaky, though, as he can have a big night and then follow it up with a terrible performance. He's playing well of late, so he should be on your fantasy radar.

Ty Lawson (14.3 points, 1 three-pointer, 7 assists, 2 steals): Lawson has really come into his own since taking over starting point guard duties for the Nuggets. He's a great all-around talent who's going to see even more minutes in the short term while his back up, Raymond Felton, is dealing with an ankle injury. Lawson is a must own in all formats and should be added immediately in any league where he's a free agent.

Channing Frye (18 points, 4 three-pointers, 6.5 rebounds, 100% FT%): Frye returned earlier than expected from a shoulder injury and picked up right where he had left off. He's back hitting three-pointers and grabbing rebounds. Frye continues to hover around the top 50 of our player ratings and is another player that should be universally owned. Snatch him up while you can.

As a result, each has gained considerable fantasy value as they play 35-40 minutes a night.

The Breakdown
Both players make for great pick ups in the short term. Booker is a good source of scoring and rebounds while Crawford is a big time scorer who can also contribute assists and steals. They should be owned in deep formats and may have some value in standard leagues depending on how long players like Andray Blatche, Josh Howard, and Nick Young are out.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7718625850745415068.post-8367413952489628922011-03-19T08:52:00.000-07:002011-03-19T08:52:19.077-07:00Hot Streaks: March 19

Five <a href="" id="AdBriteInlineAd_players" name="AdBriteInlineAd_players" style="background: url("http://files.adbrite.com/mb/images/green-double-underline-006600.gif") repeat-x scroll center bottom transparent; color: #006600; cursor: pointer; margin-bottom: -2px; padding-bottom: 2px; text-decoration: none;" target="_top">players that have been playing well over the last couple of weeks. Stats listed below are from the last 15 days.

Toney Douglas (16.2 points, 3.4 three-pointers, 6.3 assists, 50% FG%, 84.6% FT%): Douglas emerged as a great fantasy option while Chauncey Billups was sidelined recently, but he's continued to play well and see heavy minutes even as he's been moved back to a reserve role. Toney is a great scorer, but he's also helping fantasy owners in every category besides blocks. Don't let him go unowned in your league as he looks to be a great pick up as the season winds down.

C.J. Miles (19.1 points, 2.1 three-pointers, 4.4 rebounds, 1 steal, 91.3% FT%): C.J. is presently on an eight-game double-digit scoring streak that was capped off by Wednesday's 40-point outburst. Miles was recently moved into the starting line up as his overall production has improved. Miles is looking like a solid pick up as the Jazz battle it out for a playoff spot.

Jodie Meeks (14 points, 2.7 three-pointers, 4.2 rebounds, 1.3 steals, 92.3% FT%): Like Miles, Meeks has emerged of late as a great fantasy producer to have as you make a run toward a championship. He's always been a great scorer, but he's become a valuable fantasy addition because of the growth in his production in other categories. He's a must own while he plays heavy minutes and contributes across a few categories.

Francisco Garcia (12.1 points, 1.8 three-pointers, 1.4 steals, 93.8% FT%): As his minutes have started to rise since returning from a calf injury, Garcia has given fantasy owners some great all-around stat lines. Francisco is a versatile player that can put up numbers in every single category. Our only concern with him is that he's an injury risk, but he's a must own now that he's healthy, starting, and playing heavy minutes.

Luke Ridnour (10.8 points, 5.8 assists, 1.9 steals, 100% FT%): Ridnour has quietly had a strong season and he's been one of the best draft values since he was either drafted very late or not at all. He continues to do what he's done all season: put up some solid assist numbers while giving you a little something across nearly every category. Ridnour currently sits within the top 75 of our player ratings and is clearly a must own in all formats.

Doctors are telling Williams he'll need at the very least least three weeks of rest to let the wrist heal. With the Nets out of playoff contention, they don't want to risk further injury to their All-Star and will likely decide to shut him down for the rest of the season.

The Breakdown
The loss of Williams would make Jordan Farmar a must own. He's played very well at various points in the season when he's had an opportunity to start. While he obviously won't put up the numbers of a Deron Williams, Farmar can be a solid source of points, three-pointers, and assists. Get him on your roster if he's available.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7718625850745415068.post-40034299589142782742011-03-19T07:11:00.000-07:002011-03-19T08:25:46.627-07:00Channing Frye Makes Surprise Return

Phoenix Suns big man Channing Frye, who missed five games with a shoulder injury, returned to action Friday night. Frye played 31 minutes, tallying 17 points, 3 three-pointers, and 9 rebounds.

The Breakdown
After he was expected to miss at least two weeks, Frye was back on the court in just over a week and put up a nice stat line. Frye has been one of the most dropped players in fantasy over the last couple of weeks, so he's sure to be available in a number of leagues. Being that he's near the top 50 of our player ratings, he's clearly a must have.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7718625850745415068.post-22556709407934073672011-03-18T08:01:00.000-07:002011-03-18T08:01:40.221-07:00Players to Watch: March 18

These are <a href="http://fantasybasketballbreakdown.blogspot.com/2011/02/players-to-watch-february-25.html" id="AdBriteInlineAd_players" name="AdBriteInlineAd_players" style="background: url("http://files.adbrite.com/mb/images/green-double-underline-006600.gif") repeat-x scroll center bottom transparent; color: #006600; cursor: pointer; margin-bottom: -2px; padding-bottom: 2px; text-decoration: none;" target="_top">players we're keeping an eye on over the next week. <a href="http://fantasybasketballbreakdown.blogspot.com/2011/02/players-to-watch-february-25.html" id="AdBriteInlineAd_Stats" name="AdBriteInlineAd_Stats" style="background: url("http://files.adbrite.com/mb/images/green-double-underline-006600.gif") repeat-x scroll center bottom transparent; color: #006600; cursor: pointer; margin-bottom: -2px; padding-bottom: 2px; text-decoration: none;" target="_top">Stats listed below are from the last 7 days.

Eric Gordon (Has not played due to injury): After being sidelined for the second time this season with a wrist injury, Gordon is set to return on Saturday. Gordon was dropped in a few leagues, so make sure you pick him up if someone was foolish enough to let him go. If he can regain his form, Gordon is capable of putting up top 30 numbers.

Jodie Meeks (16 points, 3.5 three-pointers, 1 steal, 52.6% FG%, 90.9% FT%): Meeks has been on fire in the month of March. He's on a 10-game double digit scoring streak, knocking down threes in bunches, hitting his shots at a high percentage, and seeing nearly 35 minutes a night. Anyone needing three-pointers and steals should get Jodie on their roster.

C.J. Miles (21.8 points, 2.3 three-pointers, 1 steal, 53.1% FG%, 83.3% FT%): C.J. was recently inserted into the starting line up and dropped a career-high 40 points. It appears Miles has earned a slightly bigger role as Utah fights for a playoff berth. After the recent scoring explosion, Miles is certainly a player we have to keep on our radar over the next week. If he can continue putting up big numbers, he may become worthy of a roster spot in standard formats.

Rodrigue Beaubois (12 points, 1.7 three-pointers, 1.7 steals, 53.8% FG%, 100% FT%): "Roddy Buckets" had a couple of big games in Dallas' last two outings as he's seen his minutes rise. We'll be monitoring Beaubois' minutes and production over the next few games. Deep leaguers shouldn't hesitate to add him now.

Shawne Williams (10.7 points, 2.3 three-pointers, 5.3 rebounds, 1.3 steals, 100% FT%): Williams is quietly playing some great ball for the Knicks. His game has become more well-rounded as he's been able to post some great lines where he contributes in every single category. Although he's usually coming off the bench, Williams is doing an enough to be worth considering as an addition in many formats.

If all goes well, he could see game action in the next 1-2 weeks.

The Breakdown
If Evans can get back on the court for the final few games of the season, it would be a huge boon to many fantasy squads. This year has been a bit of a letdown for the reigning Rookie of the Year, but he was starting to look like his old self just before the foot injury sidelined him. Tyreke is a constant threat to put up 20 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and a couple of steals on any given night. He's been dropped in many leagues, so pick him up if he's available as long as you can afford to stash him for the next couple of weeks.

Marcus Thornton owners should also keep tabs on Evans' recovery. When Tyreke is back on the court, Thornton stands to lose the most value of anyone on the Kings' roster. Be sure to monitor Thornton's minutes whenever Evans is back in the line up.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7718625850745415068.post-2241252622521668222011-03-16T07:41:00.000-07:002011-03-16T07:41:31.831-07:00Most Dropped: March 16

These are the five most dropped <a href="http://www.blogger.com/post-edit.g?blogID=7718625850745415068&postID=4507178833273871601" id="AdBriteInlineAd_players" name="AdBriteInlineAd_players" style="background: url("http://files.adbrite.com/mb/images/green-double-underline-006600.gif") repeat-x scroll center bottom transparent; color: #006600; cursor: pointer; margin-bottom: -2px; padding-bottom: 2px; text-decoration: none;" target="_top">players over the last week.

Ramon Sessions (7 points, 5.5 assists, 1 steal): Since the Cavaliers added Baron Davis, Sessions' shooting has cooled off. While he's not putting up huge scoring nights, he's still remained a solid contributor in a few categories. We still recommend hanging onto him while Davis is out. Once Baron returns, fantasy owners will have to evaluate whether Sessions produces enough to keep on their roster.

Amir Johnson (2 points, 2 blocks): Johnson has missed Toronto's last two games and we're now seeing Ed Davis and Reggie Evans play heavy minutes in his place. Fantasy owners should be patient with Johnson as he's had a great season thus far. Once Amir gets back on the court, we'll have to see how the minutes shake out between the three Raptor power forwards before deciding if Johnson is still worth having on your squad.

Channing Frye (Has not played due to injury): Frye finds himself on this list for another week as he deals with a shoulder injury. The latest word is that Frye is already back shooting jumpers, so he appears to be ahead of schedule on his recovery. Frye is a player fantasy owners should have on their radar. He's had a great year and will be a valuable addition down the stretch when he's back on the court.

Arron Afflalo (Has not played due to injury): Much like Frye, Afflalo finds himself on this list once again due to injury. Arron, though, could return as early as tonight. Fantasy owners in need of help in points, three-pointers, or the percentages shouldn't hesitate to add him.

Carlos Delfino (8 points, 1 three-pointer, 1.8 steals, 100% FT%): Delfino's numbers have been inconsistent of late, but he's remain a player to count on for all-around production. He remains worthy of a roster spot while he's starting and seeing over 30 minutes a night. Delfino's a player that should be on more fantasy rosters.

The Breakdown
Thornton continues to flourish in a Sacramento line up where he's getting big minutes and he's free to put up as many shots as he wants. Thornton should be universally owned, yet he still remains available in a few leagues. Grab him if he's a free agent in your league. He'll continue to be a major contributor for as long as Tyreke Evans is sidelined.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0
