Jodie Meeks Starts, Erupts for Career-High 26 Points

Philadelphia 76ers shooting guard Jodie Meeks, who recently replaced rookie Evan Turner in the starting line up, blew up to the tune of 26 points tonight on 7 three-pointers.

The Breakdown
A great scoring performance for the second-year guard, but fantasy owners will quickly notice that he didn't provide much in any other categories even though he played 36 minutes. He's only worth a speculative addition in deep leagues as we don't expect him to play big minutes consistently.

As for Turner, the #2 overall pick has been a huge disappointment. Since he played the point at Ohio State, we suspect that is the reason he is struggling to adjust to his role off the ball in Philadelphia. Right now, fantasy owners clinging to him in standard leagues should cut bait. With Jrue Holiday entrenched at the point and Lou Williams also playing with the ball in his hands, we just don't see an opportunity for Turner to play his natural position. He's displayed a few flashes of his potential, but his minutes are falling and his production is erratic. There is sure to be a better option available in your league's free agent pool.
