Tyrus Thomas Tears Lateral Meniscus, Expected to Miss 8 Weeks

Charlotte Bobcats big man Tyrus Thomas has suffered a tear of the lateral Meniscus in his left knee. The injury will require surgery, causing him to miss the next eight weeks. Thomas is expected to return to action in mid-March.

The Breakdown
The injury is a severe blow to Charlotte's shallow bench. As a result, Kwame Brown and Nazr Mohammed should see more minutes. But even with additional playing time, we don't expect either to warrant attention in standard formats.
