Nets Excuse Troy Murphy

The New Jersey Nets have excused forward Troy Murphy from the team as general manager Billy King looks to trade the big man.

The Breakdown
With the news that the Nets will no longer pursue Carmelo Anthony, it's uncertain where Murphy will end up. He's garnered interest from a few teams around the NBA, but it's not a guarantee Murphy will end up in a situation where he'll get major playing time. Since a Murphy trade appears to be imminent, we recommend picking him up in deeper leagues and holding onto him while things play out. If he ends up in a favorable situation, Troy has the talent to put up consistent double-doubles while nailing a few three-pointers and could become a key piece to a fantasy squad vying for a championship.

How about I trade Tyson Chandler and Ronnie Brewer for Hinrich and Murphdawg, like a boss.
