Hot Streaks: February 26

Five players that have been playing well over the last couple of weeks. Stats listed below are from the last 15 days.

  1. Peja Stojakovic (15.5 points, 3 three-pointers, 1.3 steals, 59% FG%): After a slow start, Peja has really turned it up a notch in recent games. He's shooting at a high clip and knocking down shots from long distance like he has his entire career. Stojakovic only has value for his scoring and three-pointers, though. If you need a boost in those categories, he's worth a look in deep leagues.
  2. Anthony Parker (13.4 points, 1.6 three-pointers, 5.2 assists, 4.4 rebounds, 1.2 steals, 53.2% FG%, 100% FT%): Parker has been doing it all of late and he's looking like a strong addition in leagues of all sizes. Unlike Peja, Parker is seeing heavy minutes on a depleted Cavaliers squad and should continue to do so for the rest of the season. Though primarily known for his long range shooting, logging in the neighborhood of 35 minutes a night should help him contribute across a few categories on a nightly basis.
  3. Shane Battier (11 points, 2.2 three-pointers, 4.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 58.3% FG%): Just before he was traded, Battier was playing some of his best ball of the season. We expect him to cool off somewhat as he acclimates to his new team. Once he adjusts to his role with the Grizzlies, though, we expect him to remain one of the best all-around contributors in the NBA.
  4. Carlos Delfino (15.3 points, 2.7 three-pointers, 5.5 rebounds, 1.7 steals, 82.4% FT%): Delfino is starting to live up to the expectations we had for him entering the season as he was near the top 100 of our preseason rankings. Like Battier, Delfino is the type of player who can contribute in every single category, as he's shown over the last couple of weeks. He's scored in double figures in five straight games, just missing double-doubles in two of those games. He's starting and playing heavy minutes for Milwaukee, making this a great time to get him on your roster.
  5. Courtney Lee (14 points, 2.5 three-pointers, 59.5% FG%): Lee finds himself on this list for another week as he continues to hit shots at a high percentage. With the deadline day trades of Shane Battier and Aaron Brooks, Lee could be in line for a bigger role in Houston. He's a great speculative addition in deeper leagues.
