Bobcats Ship Gerald Wallace to Portland

The Charlotte Bobcats have traded forward Gerald Wallace to the Portland Trail Blazerts for Joel Przybilla, Dante Cunningham, Sean Marks, picks, and cash considerations.

The Breakdown

Portland Trail Blazers: The addition of Wallace threatens to change a lot in Portland from a fantasy perspective. Wallace will likely take over at small forward, shifting Nicolas Batum back to the bench. And with Brandon Roy recently returning, Wesley Matthews may lose value as well. We'll have to wait and see what rotation head coach Nate McMillan settles on once Roy is healthy before we can get a feel for everyone's value.

Charlotte Bobcats: The loss of Wallace creates a hole at small forward that Gerald Henderson will likely fill. He could be in line for big minutes, so team managers should consider making a speculative pick up. The players that Charlotte acquired in the trade don't figure to be fantasy relevant. Przybilla is the only one who could potentially gain some value as shot blocker and rebounder if he were to take minutes away from Kwame Brown.
