Jason Maxiell Replaces Austin Daye in Starting Line Up

After a five game stretch where he fell out of the rotation, Pistons power forward Jason Maxiell replaced youngster Austin Daye in the starting five on Sunday against the Kings. Daye, who had started the Pistons' first nine games, was a DNP.

The Breakdown
This was a strange move by head coach John Kuester because Daye was playing decently, averaging 9 points and 4.2 rebounds for the season. My inclination is that Kuester wanted to start a bigger player in the front court.

Deep leaguers may want to take a flyer on Maxiell in case this becomes a permanent change, though it's unlikely. Daye's production wasn't strong enough to hold onto him in standard leagues, so feel free to drop him. There are certainly better options available. In deeper leagues, you will want to hold on to Daye for the time being and watch whether he remains a DNP in the next few games before making a move.
