Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Byron Scott has made some changes to the team's starting line up in hopes that the team can be more competitive. Antawn Jamison has replaced J.J. Hickson at power forward, Anthony Parker was shifted to small forward, and Daniel Gibson has taken over starting shooting guard duties.
The Breakdown
In two starts, Jamison has averaged 33.5 minutes and Gibson has averaged 34.5. Both players are must haves in all leagues while they're starting and playing heavy minutes. Jamison is only available in a handful of leagues, but Gibson is unowned in just under half of leagues. The move into the starting line up should allow Jamison to put up the top 50 production we expected from him this year.
As for J.J. Hickson, he's averaged just 9.5 minutes coming off the bench and his fantasy value is almost nil. Scott has given him every opportunity to succeed, but he's just been too inconsistent. Fantasy owners who have continued to hang on to Hickson should drop him in standard formats as we don't see the veteran Jamison giving back the starting spot.
