Amare Stoudemire Enjoying Career Year

New York Knicks big man Amare Stoudemire has silenced critics and justified the huge contract he signed this offseason with his great play. Many experts felt that Amare just wouldn't be the same fantasy stud without Steve Nash setting him up, but a quarter into the season he's put up a career high in points and is very close to his highs in rebounds, steals, and blocks. His strong start to the season has moved him to the top of our player ratings.

The Breakdown
Heading into the season, the main concerns about Stoudemire were his health, how he would perform without Nash, and whether he could up his rebounds and shot blocking. Amare, thus far, has done everything you could possibly expect from him. Our only concern is that he's playing a career high 37.3 minutes per contest. We just hope the big minutes don't cause him to wear down in the second half of the season. With that said, Stoudemire will be a threat to stay near the top of the player ratings as long as he can stay healthy.
