Wizards Deploy Three-Guard Line Up

With forward Al Thornton sidelined due to an ankle sprain, Washington Wizards head coach Flip Saunders used the three-guard starting line up of Gilbert Arenas, John Wall, and Kirk Hinrich that he deployed in the preseason.

The Breakdown
The move was inevitable whether Thornton was hurt or not. Arenas had been coming on very strong in recent games and deserved the starting nod. Thornton owners will just have to monitor what happens when Al returns from his ailment in the next couple of games. This could be a huge blow to his value, which was already going to drop with the eminent return of Josh Howard. If Thornton is moved to the bench, he may not be worth rostering in standard leagues.

John Wall owners should also closely monitor the situation. Arenas is a talented player who will take away scoring and assist opportunities from the rookie phenom. Wall had a poor game tonight while Arenas played well. If this trend continues and Arenas doesn't return to a reserve role, Wall owners may want to look into potential trades.
