Miami Heat sharpshooter Mike Miller has begun practicing after missing the start of the season with a broken right thumb. Miller is still awaiting clearance by team doctors to play in an actual game, but he appears to be very close.
The Breakdown
Miller had been targeting the Christmas Day showdown against the Lakers, so this news falls right in line with his projected return. Miller could have a huge impact with the Heat and on fantasy squads once he gets on the court. Miller projects to see nearly 30 minutes a night. He should give fantasy owners consistent scoring and three-pointers, while being a decent source of rebounds and assists. Mike's return will pretty much sap the value of James Jones, so Jones owners may want to start scouting talent in the free agent pool. Miller's available in about two-thirds of leagues, so you should look to snatch him up now.
