Injury Updates

  • Kenyon Martin - PF Nuggets: Word out of Denver is that Martin is close to a return, possibly as early as this coming Wednesday. Martin could come in and make an impact in scoring, rebounds, steals, and blocks for as long as he remains healthy. Anyone in need of another big man may want to target K-Mart, who's available in about 90% of leagues.
  • Jason Thompson - PF Kings: Thompson had his right ring finger stitched up and could miss 1-2 weeks. The injury opens the door for Carl Landry to return to the starting line up. If Landry can play well, maybe he can wrestle back the starting spot from Thompson.
  • Jermaine O'Neal - PF/C Celtics: O'Neal went through his first full practice since mid-November. Jermaine is getting close to a return and could be back in the line up by Christmas Day. O'Neal, though, could just be a back of the bench player when he returns. Glen Davis has been seeing big minutes and Shaq, who should be back shortly, has locked up the starting center spot. Even rookie Semih Erden may have passed O'Neal on the depth chart. Jermaine is strictly an option in the deepest leagues.
