Gilbert Arenas Fined for Faking Knee Injury

Washington Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas admitted to faking a knee injury in order to get more playing time for teammate Nick Young. As a result of this, Arenas was fined by the Wizards.

The Breakdown
The word out of Washington is that Arenas is doing things like this to quietly force a trade. Arenas needs to realize, though, that no team in the league is willing to take on his monster contract with the amount of negative press he's brought upon himself due to the gun incident last year along with issues about his health and the fact that he just hasn't performed up to the level he had in previous years.

Fantasy owners should be careful should they choose to roster Arenas. He could pull another foolish stunt and get himself suspended once again. Considering that Arenas' best days are likely behind him, it would be best to stay away from him unless you can get him very late in your draft or scoop him up off waivers. He just hasn't shown he's worth the risk and his numbers may even decline with John Wall running the point.
