Wizards Going With Three-Guard Line Up

During the preseason, the Washington Wizards have been starting Kirk Hinrich alongside Gilbert Arenas and John Wall.

The Breakdown
This is an interesting move and something to keep an eye on. Coach Flip Saunders may just be experimenting at this point or he could be getting this unit ready for the start of the season. With 3 players at 6'4" or shorter in the starting line up, they will have some odd match ups and it will be interesting to see whether those match ups are in their favor.

Al Thornton still figures to be in the mix for a starting spot. Even if Washington goes with this three-guard line up to start the season, they may also turn to Josh Howard when he returns from injury around December. We'll continue to monitor the situation in Washington.
