Fantasy Owners Finding Out What to Expect From Miami Heat's Big Three

Through 3 games, here are the averages of the Miami Heat's Big Three:

  • LeBron James: 20.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.7 assists
  • Dwyane Wade: 23 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 2 steals, 1.3 blocks
  • Chris Bosh: 11.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1 block

The Breakdown
As expected, we're seeing a decline in stats across the board. Surprsingly, Wade has been the one providing more of an all around game compared to LeBron James. James was expected to be a nightly triple double threat with his rebounding and playmaking abilities. Thus far, Wade has been able to keep up with James in rebounds and assists while also contributing in the defensive categories. LeBron owners will have to hope his rebounding and assist totals improve as he's not expected to average anywhere near 30 points a game as he had with the Cavaliers.

It also remains to be seen if Bosh will have many big games this season. Through 3 games, the main problem for Bosh has been his inability to establish himself in the post. He is mainly playing on the perimeter and it has been to his detriment because Miami is loaded with shooters and needs more of an inside presence. If Bosh can play more of a back-to-the-basket game in the paint, he will be able to get more scoring opportunities and better position himself in rebounding battles.
