I don't really like to discuss rumors, but sources from inside Paul's inner circle have told CBSSports.com's Ken Berger that Paul is looking to be traded before the start of the season. He is very dissatisfied with the direction the Hornets are heading in and wants to be moved to a contender.
For fantasy players, this is a very interesting situation. Paul's fantasy value won't change much regardless of what team he goes to unless it's a deep team like the Lakers, which is unlikely. If Paul is moved, though, Darren Collison's value goes through the roof. Last season as a starter, Collison stepped in to play 40 minutes a game with averages of 18.8 points, 9.1 assists, 1.4 steals, and 3.5 rebounds on 48% shooting. Those are top 5 PG stats.
I currently have Collison rated at 90, but he takes a huge leap up if Paul is traded. Even if Paul isn't traded by your draft date, Collison's worth a pick even as high as the 70th player taken in your draft in case Paul gets moved during the season or he suffers another long term injury. Paul's situation in New Orleans is something to keep an eye on throughout the offseason.
